Patrick Hiller is CEO and co-founder of Cumberland Group. He previously served as CEO of Abacus Solutions, a company he co-founded with Cumberland Group President Ken Snuggs. Hiller comes to this role with IT experience that extends the breadth of the industry’s evolution. He began his career selling IBM solutions then moved on to serve as vice president of VSS before co-founding Abacus Solutions in 2000. Hiller earned his bachelor of science degree in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Ken Snuggs is president and co-founder of Cumberland Group, responsible for the overall direction and success of the company. Snuggs comes to this role as a veteran in the IT industry, having served in multiple roles from engineering to business operations and strategy. Cumberland Group is the third IT-based business Snuggs has helped form, which includes Abacus Solutions, the solutions and infrastructure provider he co-founded with Cumberland Group CEO Patrick Hiller in 2000. Snuggs earned a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Steve White is CFO of Cumberland Group, guiding the company’s financial direction and working with other leadership team members to set business objectives. White previously served as CFO of Abacus Solutions, where his economic counsel solidified that company’s success. He is a CPA and worked for KPMG, Ernst & Young and Georgia-Pacific before joining Abacus in 2006. White earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his MBA from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Joe Corbett is COO of Cumberland Group, where he leads the company’s business operations to guide its strategy execution. Along with Cumberland Group’s leadership team, Corbett helps develop the company’s strategic direction and set annual growth markers. Corbett was previously COO of Abacus, where he oversaw sales, logistics, and the Abacus technical center. He joined Abacus in 2002 as a sales executive then became manager for sales and operations. Corbett attended Georgia Southern University and the University of Georgia.
Rob Wentz is Cumberland Group’s vice president of business development and alliances, responsible for client and channel partner relationships. With the leadership team, Wentz establishes the company’s strategic and communication direction. He was previously head of marketing and business development for Abacus Solutions, which he joined in 2010. Wentz previously held sales and leadership positions throughout the financial services industry, including JPMorgan Chase & Co. He earned his MBA from Georgia State University and his bachelor’s in communication and marketing from Auburn University.
Aaron Meyers is managing principal for Cumberland Group’s Advisory Services practice with a personal focus on business enhancement through transformation and cloud-style service delivery. He joined Cumberland after successfully serving in similar roles for Abacus Solutions and SunGard. Having worked in the IT industry for more than 15 years, Aaron has held a wide range of IT leadership roles across traditional enterprises, financial service industry leaders, and cloud solution providers. He earned his bachelor of science degree in economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Rob Spessard is vice president at Cumberland Group. With the leadership team, Spessard guides the strategic direction of the company, optimizing growth opportunities and client relationships. He joined Cumberland Group in 2016 after several years in IT leadership, including time with Dimension Data, Nexus IS, Presidio and CyberStarts Inc., a technology holding company he helped found. Spessard began his career in the financial sector, working with institutions such as Barclays, Chase Merchant Services and Southtrust Bank. Spessard earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Furman University in Greenville, S.C.
Tricia Dukes is manager of human resources for Cumberland Group, where she defines and oversees hiring and employment policy, benefits, and payroll. Dukes comes to this role from Abacus Solutions, where she served in the same capacity during the company’s greatest period of growth and hiring expansion. She joined Abacus from CDE Services, a distributor for point of service equipment. Dukes is a member of Society of Human Resources Management and earned her bachelor’s of science degree in Christian education from Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.
DeMond Sullivan is Cumberland Group’s CTO, where he leads the technical team in creative problem solving and mapping infrastructure improvements to business models, and defining the scope of information systems projects. Sullivan comes to Cumberland Group from Abacus Solutions, where he served as solutions architect. Before joining Abacus, he worked in the U.S. Army and for General Dynamics as a senior systems engineer. Sullivan earned his MBA from Colorado State University and his bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Saint Leo University.
